And Beyond...Off the Farm and Out of North Carolina
Cooperstown, New York
We grew up in Cooperstown and although we don't get back there very often, it is a beautiful place to visit and has remained remarkably unchanged in many ways since we left in the 1960's.
Cooperstown is known first and foremost for the Baseball Hall of Fame. It has grown bigger and better over the years. It is a wonderful destination for the whole family with exhibits for everyone.
When I was there last, I saw several family groups with 3 and possibly 4 generations represented all having a good time together.
In addition to the Hall of Fame, Cooperstown hosts 2 excellent museums of New York State Historical Association - the Farmer's Museum and the Femimore Art Museum. Both are worth a visit or more.
